Who runs this site, why it exists, and what we will and will not do.
Who we are
EmotionalSupportAnimalLetter.co.uk is run by Medical Cert UK, a trading name of Nobel Medical LLC. Medical Cert UK provides medical letters written online by GMC-registered doctors, and this site is its service for emotional support animal letters. Letters are written under the clinical oversight of Dr Maria Knobel, Medical Director (GMC 7495073). We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office, registration number ZC112101.
Why this site exists
Search for an emotional support animal letter in the UK and most of what you find offers to “register” your animal, with an ID card and a certificate, often for a yearly fee. There is no official register of emotional support animals in the UK, and those products have no legal effect.
We think people deserve the straight answer: what the law actually says, what a doctor’s letter can and cannot do, and how to use one with a landlord. So this site does two things. It sells one product, a letter written by a doctor. And it explains the law around it, with a primary source for every legal and clinical claim.
What we do not do
- We do not register or certify animals, or issue licences for them. Nobody in the UK can do that for emotional support animals.
- We do not promise that a landlord, university or employer will accept a letter. They make their own decision.
- We do not claim a letter gives access to shops, transport or flights. It does not.
- We do not write a letter where the doctor cannot support one. If that happens, you get a full refund.
